I got this email from my mom yesterday.
E has reached 33 weeks, but as her doctor said last night, we are greedy, we want more. The doctor is really hoping to get her to 36 weeks because that’s when she thinks the babies will have the best chance to not go to the NICU. She talked about increasing the magnesium sulfate since E is tolerating it better than some. She feels fuzzy, but at least she isn’t nauseated. Three weeks sounds like a long time, but in the grand scheme of things, it isn’t that much.
So far, W is coping well. He likes going to visit his mommy and looks forward to sleeping in his new bed tonight. M (W’s dad) is going to have him for the weekend and J (M’s mom) is supposed to watch him next week. That will give me more time to help E out. We did have some fun this morning. We watched the shuttle launch. He was fascinated and asked many questions. He loved doing the count down (he’s become very good at counting backwards). ABC was very accommodating because every time he’d say he wanted to see it again, they’d replay it!
If anything changes, I will let you know. Hopefully, no news is good news.
